Law of Turkmenistan On amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan "On the State Border of Turkmenistan"

I. Introduce into the Law of Turkmenistan "On the State Border of Turkmenistan", adopted on May 4, 2013 (Register of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, 2013, No. 2, Article 19; 2014, No. 4, Article 164; 2016, No. 2, Articles 98 and 103; 2019, No. 1, Article 10; 2020, No. 2, Article 23), the following changes and additions:
in the first part of Article 7, the words "or border strip" shall be replaced by the words ", border control strip, border strip";
after Article 23, add the following article:
"Article 231. Border strip
1. In the border control strip on the land territory from the State Border, as well as from the banks of border rivers, lakes and other water bodies, a border strip is established in a certain area of the terrain. The width of the border strip is determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
2. It is prohibited to carry out work in the border strip, except for work carried out in accordance with international agreements of Turkmenistan, as well as work on strengthening channels and water use on border rivers, lakes and other bodies of water. "; the content of Article 26 shall be stated as follows:
“The border regime, including the rules for entering the border zone, border control strip and border strip, staying in them, movement of citizens and other persons, carrying out household work, accounting for self-propelled and non-self-propelled vessels, their navigation and maintenance in the territorial sea and internal waters of Turkmenistan, and in the part of the waters of border rivers, lakes and other water bodies of Turkmenistan, is established by acts of the President of Turkmenistan. "
II. This Law comes into force from the day of its official publication.
